Day 1: Paris / Bombay

Flight to Bombay, dinner on board. Arrival in the evening, welcome and transfer to the hotel.

Day 2: Bombay / Aurangabad

After breakfast, visit the bustling city to the rhythm of the stock market and Bollywood film budgets.

Late afternoon, transfer to the airport for Aurangabad. Arrival and installation.

Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Aurangabad: Ellora / Ajanta Caves

After breakfast, a visit to the sculpted and painted caves of Aurangabad, Ellora and Ajanta allows you to admire some wonders of the world. Places considered sacred for centuries by Buddhists, Jains and Hindus.

Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Aurangabad / Ajanta / Jalgaon

After breakfast, tour of the city, visit the Muslim sanctuary the Panchakki erected in 1624 to honor Baba Shah Muzaffar who was the spiritual guide of Aurangzeb. Then, visit the Bibi-Ka-Maqbara mausoleum erected in 1678 in honor of Rabia-ud-Daurani, Aurangzeb’s first wife.

Then, departure for Ajanta, a site made up of 29 Buddhist caves, the oldest dating from the 2nd century BC and the most recent from the 7th century AD. It is one of the finest examples of rock architecture in India, particularly those dating from the end of the Gupta period, one of the great periods of Indian art.

Late afternoon, drive to Jalgaon.

Day 5: Jalgaon / Bhopal (Train)

After breakfast, drive to Bhopal, capital of Madhya Pradesh, it is a pleasant provincial town, which is only beginning to feel cramped in this mosaic of palaces, mosques, gardens and lakes dating from the colonial era. City tour: Taj-ul-Masajid, (the mother of all mosques), built during the reign of Shah Jahan, Moti Masjid, Shauket Mahal, Bharat Bhawan. Multi-purpose arts center unrivaled in the rest of the country.

Day 6: Bhopal / Sanchi / Bhopal

After breakfast, departure for Sanchi which is located 46 km away, with its four gigantic, remarkably openwork porticos, the great stupa of Sanchi is one of the oldest stone monuments still visible in India and undoubtedly one of the most interesting Buddhist sites in Asia. The great stupa of Sanchi evokes the Buddha (the wheel, the footprints, the empty throne under the bodhi tree, the riderless horse), without him being represented.

Day 7: Bhopal / Jhansi / Orccha

After breakfast departure by train to Jhansi. Reception at the station and road to Orccha, a site that became famous thanks to the Rani, “sacred woman”, known for having stood up to the English during the Sepoy revolt. Continuation towards Orccha, located on the banks of the Betwa, the city was in the 17th century the capital of a state created by Bir Singh Deo (1605-1627). From its past remains a marvelous fortress, various palaces, mausoleums and temples.

Day 8: Orccha / Khajuraho

After breakfast, departure for Khajuraho, upon arrival check-in at your hotel and start of the visit to the temples, distributed in two groups built between the 10th and 12th centuries by the kings of the Chandella dynasty, decorated in profusion superb sculptures, some famous for their eroticism.

Day 9: Khajuraho / Agra

After breakfast, end of the visit to the temples if this visit did not take place the day before. Transfer to Jhansi railway station and train to Agra. Arrival and check-in at the hotel.

Day 10: Agra / Bharatpur

After breakfast, visit the Taj Mahal at sunrise then the red fort and continuation to Fatehpur Sikri, a city entirely in red sandstone, built by the Mughal emperor Akbar whose buildings are sober and baroque.

Then continuation towards Bharatpur, arrival in Bharatpur early in the afternoon check in at the hotel, at the end of the day rickshaw ride in the ornithological reserve.

Day 11: Bharatpur / Jaipur

After breakfast, drive to Jaipur, arrival and check-in at the hotel.

Afternoon: tour of the city and its bazaars by Rickshaw to the Ramniwas garden and Johri bazaar: flower market, fabrics are sold, as well as jewelry and precious stones and a temple of Rama, on the terrace of which you will wait for the show street of Jaipur, a city so full of life, cows, elephants, bicycles and taxis pass each other with a great noise of horns, it’s a great crowd bath very friendly

Day 12: Jaipur

After breakfast, visit the Amber Fort in the times of the Mughals, the region must have always been ready for war. Amber was the residence of the Maharajahs.

Climb to the ramparts in a 4×4 jeep.

Visit the Palace with its rooms set with mirrors and the old harem, a veritable labyrinth. Possibility to attend the Puja at the Kali temple. The crafts of Jaipur will have many surprises in store for you, from stencilled cotton to precious stones, your free time will seem short for shopping.

Visit the City Palace, the Palace of the Maharajah with its museum of royal clothing, ceremonial balustrades and also beautiful miniatures. The observatory of Jai Singh, the astronomer Maharajah, returning passing in front of the famous “Hawa Mahal”. Façade behind which women could see, without being seen.

Day 13: Jaipur / Delhi

After breakfast, departure for Delhi. Arrival for noon, lunch. City tour, Humayun’s elegant tomb and Raj Ghat where Mahatma Gandhi is cremated. Passing through the Connaught Place area and Presidential Palace, the Qutub Minar.

At the end of the afternoon, “goodbye” dinner

Transfer to the airport according to the return flight.

Arrival early in the morning in Paris.
